The Sudanese Foreign Ministry announced the release of a US aid worker in Darfur, who was abducted in mid-May 2010. The ministry's spokesperson, Moawiya Osman Khalid, told the AFP ( Agence France Presse ) that the aid worker is currently in a house in Nyala in South Darfur.
Khalid pointed out that the release was obtained through negotiations and without payment of ransom.
