A high delegation from the World Bank headed by the Deputy Governor and the Director of African strategies is expected to arrive in Sudan on Tuesday. The visit, which includes Khartoum and Juba, will review the Multi-donors Activities Fund, which was established by the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) to support war-affected areas in Sudan.


Members of the Liberation and Justice Movement in Darfur said they have been attacked by what they believed to be the Uganda's Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) in Western Sudan. The Deputy Chairman of Liberation and Justice Movement, Haider Falokoma Atim, told Reuters News Agency that a group of LRA rebels attacked their forces on Wednesday in Dafak area in South Darfur.

The SPLM Secretary General, Pagan Amum, said the unity of Sudan could be achieved voluntarily and in manner that respects the interests of all the people of Sudan. Speaking to a press conference at Juba International Airport, Amum said that the SPLM has briefed the visiting delegation of the African National Congress of South Africa on its views on Sudan's unity.
